Masters: Congratulations to swimmers who competed at Sheffield 28-30 Oct. their new county and masters records can be accessed via the link below.  Updates to the relevant links above and below this will be made shortly. Masters records achieved outside our competition are subject to ratification by the swimming committee - please let me know if you find errors or I have missed any.

To claim new records for above please contact us . You will need to provide evidence such as ‘card’, ‘results sheet’, web reference. Records achieved outside our competition are subject to ratification by the swimming committee and are annotated with a * in the meantime.

CCASA 2012 Galas - dates and general information

Qualifying Times for 2012 will be the same as for 2011 (both 'age groups' and intermediate gala) - draft meet sheets and heat start lists in topic 7 when available.

Please note that from this year there will be both senior and junior finals - senior final participants will be all be aged 16 and over on the day of swim and junior final participants will be aged 15 and under on the day of swim. The swimmers will be identified via the heats.

Host Club:Penzance - warm-up 12:30 start: 13:30 - there is no programme of events or schedule as a new format is to be drawn up. Suggestions are required and needed by January 7th in order to be presented at the next swimming committee meeting. The gala is normally a licence 2 meet and we need  programme and conditions in order to apply for the licence. Suggestions.

Host Club: St. Ives Bay - warm-up 13:15 start 14:00 - no programme has been published for this event because for a number of years it has been agreed to alter this. Sam has already broken the above 50 fly record with a time of 32.20 on 15th October at FSSAA National Swimming Championships 2011 R A F Cranwell- congratulations Sam.

CCASA 2011 Teams Gala - Sat. 2nd July at Penzance

Congratulations Truro City Ladies Open 4X100m freestyle team on breaking the Senior County Record set in 1989 with a time of 4.11.53.  and Penzance SC for retaining the club trophy. 

Please note that the following results are 'times' only and do not identify the entries that were declared (swum an out of age swimmer) and therefore do not qualify for medals or club points. These and also club points will follow on Sunday evening.

For event 5 Girls 11/12 Medley splits should be ignored but final times OK as back-ups agree and in line with manual times.

Online Learning with the Institute of Swimming: The IoS run online seminars, which offer learners the flexibility to learn at their own pace, where ever and whenever they wish  - details

CCASA Distance Galas and BAGCAT and Youth Relays Feb 4th and 5th 2012

Whilst it is planned for awards to be made during these events, the results will not be processed (in the computer system) and uploaded to this website until weekend Feb. 11/12. Timing slips will  be scanned and made available to those wanting to access split times.  

Please e-mail deletions to John Hickman   (swimming secretary) thanks - heat and lane numbers may change on the day due to deletions etc.

Cards will be used and given to clubs at the start of each gala. Each swimmer/team should hand their card to the lane official before the start of their race (team cards must list the names of the competing swimmers in their order of swim on the reverse of the card) 

CCASA Champ./Age Groups - Sessions 3-14 -3/4 & 10/11 March - entries close Tues 14 Feb.

Please note that for 9 year olds 400m freestyle and 200m butterfly are not included in their BAGCAT category.
